A type library describes object functionality to a calling application by presenting a set of interfaces. Generally, type libraries expose the interfaces of an OLE control to other OLE-aware applications.

If one or more interfaces are to be exposed, each OLE control must have a type library.

Incorrect type library information can cause an application crash or malfunction.
